Circle of Salt

"There are some things, after all, that Sally Owens knows for sure certain.  Always through spilled salt over your left shoulder.  Keep rosemary by your garden gate.  Add pepper to your mashed potatoes.  Plant roses and lavender for luck.  And, fall in love whenever you can."  This is a quote from the novel Practical Magic, which was somewhat streamlined for the movie.  The use of salt in Practical Magic is the inspiration for "Circle of Salt."  In the book series, salt is used as a blend of superstition and charm to carry through daily life.  It's used as a magical safeguard to repel spiritual and supernatural entry.  

Circle of Salt is a true salt bar.  It is a very hard, very exfoliating bar.  It is made with coconut oil, olive oil and castor oil.  It is colored with activated charcoal powder and is scented with sandalwood, pine and vetiver essential oils.

Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal has detoxifying and exfoliating properties and is believed to ward off harmful energies.

Sea Salt
Sea salt has exfoliating, detoxifying, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.  It has also been used for centuries for its purifying, protective and sacred properties.

Essential Oils:
Sandalwood (for spiritual grounding and promoting inner peace and calm) - anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-aging properties.
Pine (for clearing negative energy and for grounding and centering) - stimulates circulation, promoting cell renewal and a healthy glow, has cleansing and detoxifying properties.
Vetiver (to help clear negative energy) - antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, promotes skin regeneration.

To make your soap last longer - in between uses, place your soap on a dish that drains, for example, our bamboo soap holders. These holders allow for drainage and ventilation, which helps dry your soap so it lasts longer.
