Amas Veritas

One of the most memorable moments in the Practical Magic film comes when young Sally Owens casts a true love spell called Amas Veritas. Hoping to protect herself from the Owens family curse, she carefully describes a man with impossible qualities—someone who could never exist. If true love was impossible, then so was heartbreak.

Of course, as every Practical Magic fan knows, magic has a way of finding its own path.

That unforgettable moment inspired Amas Veritas.

Amas Veritas is handcrafted with extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, and castor oil to create a rich, creamy lather. Naturally colored with madder root, the bar features flowing crimson swirls that evoke love, destiny, and the invisible thread that eventually leads Sally to the truth she never expected. It is scented exclusively with pure essential oils of geranium, lavender, and frankincense, creating a beautifully balanced floral aroma with soft resinous notes.

The Botanicals

Every ingredient was chosen not only for its beautiful color and aroma but also for the symbolic qualities long associated with it in folklore and traditional herbalism.

Madder Root – Traditionally associated with love, courage, protection, vitality, and matters of the heart. Its rich crimson color has long symbolized passion, strength, and enduring love.

The Essential Oils

Geranium – Traditionally associated with love, emotional balance, harmony, and opening the heart.

Lavender – Long connected with peace, healing, clarity, and calm.

Frankincense – Traditionally associated with wisdom, purification, spiritual insight, and inner peace.

Each bar weighs approximately 4.5 oz.

Because every bar is handcrafted in small batches, slight variations in color, size, and design are part of what makes each one unique.

Ingredients: Saponified oils of coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, and castor oil; madder root, sodium hydroxide (used in saponification), and pure essential oils.

Care Instructions

To help your soap last as long as possible, allow it to dry between uses. A well-draining soap dish, such as a bamboo soap holder, provides ventilation and helps extend the life of your handcrafted bar.
