Almond Vanilla

This soap was created at the request of a dear friend who had one simple wish: a rich, comforting almond vanilla soap. As a soap maker who primarily creates all-natural cold process soaps scented exclusively with essential oils, this presented a unique challenge. While essential oils can produce a wide variety of beautiful scents, there is no natural essential oil combination that truly captures the warm, sweet aroma of classic almond vanilla.

To achieve the scent she was looking for, I chose a high-quality almond vanilla fragrance oil. While this means the soap is not 100% naturally scented like most of my creations, it is still handcrafted in small batches using the same nourishing oils and butters that I use in all of my soaps.

This bar is made with extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, and castor oil, creating a creamy, conditioning lather that gently cleanses while leaving skin feeling soft and pampered.

You may notice beautiful brown swirls throughout the bar. These are not added colorants. Vanilla fragrance oils contain a natural compound called vanillin, which reacts during the soapmaking process and gradually darkens over time. This process, known as vanilla discoloration, is completely normal and can range from light tan to deep chocolate brown depending on the amount of vanillin present in the fragrance. Rather than fighting this natural transformation with synthetic additives, I chose to embrace it, allowing the vanilla to create its own unique patterns and warm, earthy tones within each bar.

The result is a cozy, comforting soap with the irresistible scent of sweet almonds and creamy vanilla—a simple indulgence for everyday use.

Each Almond Vanilla bar is approx. 4.5 oz.

To make your soap last longer - in between uses, place your soap on a dish that drains, for example, our bamboo soap holders. These holders allow for drainage and ventilation, which helps dry your soap so it lasts longer.
