Aunt Jet’s Garden

In the Practical Magic book series, Aunt Jet's garden is a living symbol of the Owens family's magical legacy, feminine power, and deep-rooted connection to the natural world.  It is lush, wild, and overflowing with magical herbs and flowers and plays a recurring role throughout the series, reflecting the themes of healing, intuition and quiet strength.  Aunt Jet's garden was the inspiration for this soap.

Aunt Jet's Garden (the soap) is made with olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil and castor oil.  It is naturally colored with French green clay and rose clay powder and naturally scented with rose, rosemary, lavender, and thyme essential oils.

French Green Clay:
French green clay has been used for centuries for its purifying and detoxifying properties and, when applied to the body, is thought to cleanse the aura, helping to remove emotional residues and energy attachments.

Rose Clay Powder:
Rose clay powder is believed to draw out impurities and toxins from the skin and is thought to support emotional healing, self-love and compassion and promotes emotional stability and peace.

Essential Oils:
Rose (for luck, love and acceptance) - anti-aging, antibacterial, antimicrobial, hydrating and soothing properties.
Rosemary (for protection) - stimulating, antioxidant-rich, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
Lavender (for calm) - soothing, anti-inflammatory, antioxidants, healing, and balancing properties.
Thyme (for courage and strength) - antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Ingredients: olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil, castor oil, French green clay, rose clay powder, water, lye, essential oils. 

To make your soap last longer - in between uses, place your soap on a dish that drains, for example, our bamboo soap holders. These holders allow for drainage and ventilation, which helps dry your soap so it lasts longer.
