Moonwater & Roses

In the Practical Magic book series, both water and roses carry recurring symbolic and magical weight, often appearing in moments that are tied to healing, love and transformation.  Moonwater specifically is hinted at for cleansing and blessing.  In fact, the youngest generation of Owens witches used water charged by moonlight to soothe heartbreak and inspire courage.  Roses symbolize love and desire and serve as magical markers, especially in moments of heightened power or emotion.

The symbolism of water and roses was the inspiration for "Moonwater & Roses."

Moonwater & Roses is, of course, made with water charged by a recent full moon.  It is made with coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter and castor oil, colored with blue indigo powder to represent water, rose clay powder to represent roses, and is scented with rose, ylang ylang and vetiver essential oils.

Moonwater
Moonwater is believed to absorb the moon's gentle, nurturing energy, helping cleanse emotional blockages and promote inner healing.  It can soothe anxiety, sadness and emotional fatigue.

Blue Indigo Powder
Blue indigo powder has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibacterial, detoxifying and purifying properties.  It is believed to enhance intuition, insight and inner vision, and its blue hue carries calming and soothing energies.  

Rose Clay Powder:
Rose clay powder is believed to draw out impurities and toxins from the skin and is thought to support emotional healing, self-love and compassion and promotes emotional stability and peace.

Essential Oils:
Rose (for luck, love and acceptance) - anti-aging, antibacterial, antimicrobial, hydrating and soothing properties.
Ylang Ylang (for soothing anxiety and stress) - balances oil production, has antibacterial properties, soothes inflammation, promotes healthy & glowing skin.
Vetiver (to help clear negative energy) - antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, promotes skin regeneration.

Ingredients: olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, blue indigo powder, rose clay powder, water, lye, essential oils. 

To make your soap last longer - in between uses, place your soap on a dish that drains, for example, our bamboo soap holders. These holders allow for drainage and ventilation, which helps dry your soap so it lasts longer.
